We asked health care staff and community members at BMS Family Health & Wellness Centers in Brooklyn, New York, what they look forward to after getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
“I miss a social life, and that's what I look forward to the most,” said Michelle Lindsay, dental practice manager at BMS. “Summer's coming up, we’ll all get the vaccine. [Our family needs] to get together and have fun,” said BMS nurse Oliver Rosario. “Hug each other, and love each other.”
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) worked with BMS from February-April 2021 to expand access to COVID-19 vaccinations in Brownsville and East New York, two neighborhoods that were particularly hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. BMS continues to provide free vaccinations in several locations in Brownsville and East New York.
